Wish I was an English muffin 'bout to make the most out of a toaster

Oh, no! I forgot to make a post in October! It's not like I was even all that busy last month. How could I forget?

To sum up:

1. At the start of the month, I made recycled Halloween decorations out of glass, tissue paper, construction paper, and paint.

and then I used (fake) tea lights to make them glow.

2. I went to the Boyce Thompson Arboretum for a work event. It was pretty, but I didn't get to do much exploring as I had to get back early so I could go for a run.

3. Ran my first half marathon... up a mountain! The Mount Lemmon Half Marathon, which was insane and beautiful and awesome.

4. Made Halloween pumpkin cookies and then decorated them with melted chocolate. Mmmm, I wish I had more.

5. Parents visited right before Halloween. Dressed up as a dragon.

6. Spent more time with my awesome cat.

Speaking of the cat, I just got him a leash and harness today, so I'm going to go test that out. Now I just need to remember to make another update this month about Thanksgiving so that I can keep up with my one-post-a-month promise!
